Quadrupole Power Supply Unit 3×400 V

The device consists of three identical precision high-voltage power amplifiers for symmetrical supplying of a 3D-quadrupole trap. The connected trap is supplied by a combination of a 40-times amplified AC voltage and a 4-times amplified DC or low-frequency voltage. The AC voltage provides the storage of electrically charged objects in the trap, the DC or low-frequency voltage is designed for the gravity compensation of heavy objects and for electrical cooling.
