Precise Variable Power Supply/Power Amplifier 5×200 V
The device consists of five precision high-voltage power amplifiers.
They produce at their outputs a 20-times amplified input voltage.
The amplifiers are arranged in three groups, each particular group possess one signal input.
Two groups contain two amplifiers each, one with a positive, the other one with a negative amplification.
Thus, the two groups supply two pairs of symmetrical output voltages.
The last group contains only one amplifier with a positive amplification.
The amplifiers are extremely low-noise and DC accurate. They can drive high capacitive loads without stability problems, so that for example, all usual piezo actuators can be driven by the device. The DC accuracy and the extremely low noise predestine the device for the amplification of output signals of precise D/A converters. The large signal signal-to-noise ratio of about 130 dB can be fully utilized only with converters with a resolution of more than 20 bit.
