Quadrupole Power Supply QPS400-3
Power Supply Unit for 3D Quadrupole Traps, 3× 400 V
This device consists of three identical precision high-voltage power amplifiers for the symmetrical supply of a 3D quadrupole trap.
The connected trap is supplied by a combination of a 40× amplified AC voltage and a 4× amplified DC or low-frequency voltage. The AC voltage is used for storing electrically charged objects in the trap, the DC or low-frequency voltage is designed for gravity compensation of heavy objects and for electrical cooling.
Typical applications: Power supply of electrodynamic quadrupole traps for storing micro- and nanoparticles or heavy ions, for precise measurements of specific charge or for electrical cooling of stored particles
