This device contains two identical, completely independent, remote-controllable bipolar precision power supplies. The power supplies are linear and have toroidal transformers which ensure a low residual magnetic field.

Each of the power supplies generates two symmetrical output voltages which are continuously adjustable from 0 to nominal voltage. The symmetry of the voltages is better than 0.1%, the output ripple and noise voltage of the output voltages are in the ppm range.

Both power supplies have independent reference potentials, the outputs are galvanically isolated from the device (i.e. from protective earth) and can therefore be connected to freely selectable potentials.

Each of the power supplies can either be controlled manually by a precision potentiometer with 10 turns or externally by a DC voltage of 010 V. The control voltages are applied to two BNC sockets which are galvanically connected to the device. Switching between manual and external control is possible for each power supply independently via a toggle switch.

The power supplies are protected against excess voltage, excess current and excess temperature.
