Explanation of Options (19AMX)

This overview describes the options denoted by additional letters in the names of our switches.
If you wish to add any of these options to a device, do not hesitate to contact us or configure a custom switch.

#Switch Types

Selectable for each switch channel separately

Standard

Dual-level switch
  • Output
In older devices: output ComOut (in older devices: output Com)
switches between two voltage levels Vneg and Vpos
  • Vneg ≤ Vout ≤ Vpos must be fulfilled at all times (even when the switch is deactivated)

Option T (Trilevel)

Three-level switch
  • Output
In older devices: output ComOut (in older devices: output Com)
switches between three voltage levels Vneg, Vmid, and Vpos
  • Vneg ≤ Vout ≤ Vpos and Vneg ≤ Vmid ≤ Vpos must be fulfilled at all times (even when the switch is deactivated)
  • Allows for field-free phases in digital ion traps (DITs)
  • Undisturbed injection or extraction of charged particles
